You Need To Read This Now...
I speak to @ least 200 secondary school students almost every week. One thing that fascinates me about these children is that they give the sarcastic and unconcerned attitude on the first meeting, but after speaking to them, they open up to me immediately.
Therefore, based on my experience, I am giving you this advice.
Please parents, love your children unconditionally, speak positive words to them "Everyday". Yes, Everyday and discipline them when necessary.
I need you to please create time for your children.Let them know that they can talk and look up to you.
Please show and teach your children parts of their bodies, especially their genitals. Tell them not to allow anyone to touch it and if anyone tries to do so or does so against their will they should come home to tell you. But it takes constant show of love and care before your child opens up to you. You can't be emotionally distant from your child and expect them to talk to you about such things.
Protect these children, by not leaving them alone or in unsafe hands, even the trusted person may be the culprit and bear in mind that a man may molest a boy and a woman may molest a girl. A large number of rape cases start from the home and the rapist may be of any age they don't have to be adults. It may be the father, brother, sister, other family members, friends, neigbours etc.
Sometimes it starts innocently. It may just have been that the innocent child and the rapist were playing and one thing just led to another, the rapist may not even have intended to do so and the rape might continue for years.
I know its not as easy as it sounds, but you need to put in a lot of effort.God expects that much from you.
I am writing and pleading to you based on my experiences with children weekly. They are very vulnerable and looking at the root of their problems, its majorly from the home, from under your roof.
These children just want love, care, attention etc.If you don't give it to them, others will do it for you, whether positively or negatively.
