YOUR DECISION

With so much crisis going on all over the world, it is important to know that your choices and decisions affect you and other people directly or indirectly. For example, the siege that has been going on in Kenya for over three days, bombing of a church in Pakistan, random shooting at a naval yard in the U.S, shows that the future of the world is at stake.

Many young people are involved in terrorism, fraud, armed-robbery, kidnapping and many more insane acts. The perpetrators of these acts are made to believe the stupid lies of their bosses who are fanatics and money bags. These are lies that now look like the truth to them.

Most of the time, all of this mess starts from the family’s foundation. The family that is supposed to be the bedrock of every society has lost its values. Parents no longer have time for their children, children are now exposed to physical and emotional abuse, there is lack of love and care in the home, and this might be due to economic, emotional, political and religious challenges.

Therefore, a lot of young people seek and get refuge in the arms of their peers, media and environment. Young people can be easily brain-washed by evil perpetrators especially those searching for love, acceptance and wealth.

I take it personally as a teen and family motivational speaker in Nigeria to inspire and motivate young people especially in the area of self-discovery and making the right decisions. Also, I inform parents on reasons why they need to learn to love, train, and discipline, inspire, protect and pray for their children.

I know that parents and adults can be hard on young people, the truth is, a child is supposed to act like a child, but with love, right training and good example shown, the child will grow up to be a mature adult.

These are times that parents need to be close to their children, learn on good parenting and be good examples.

Using myself as an example, I faced a lot of challenges while growing up, because my mum raised my brother and I by herself. She had to work to fend for us, pay the house bills and school fees. I was young and I did not understand why I did not have enough funds as some of my peers did. I got into the wrong clique and almost lost my life by engaging in dangerous activities.

Thank God, I later discovered myself, then started moving with the right set of people. Now, I am a pharmacist, teen and family motivational speaker. I inspire young people and have been able to help and impact so many lives. I am fulfilled with my work and I am going to do more positive things to make this generation better.

Finally, I implore young people not to be swayed by evil doctrines. Know that every decision you make has consequence(s). Also, be vigilant, always inform a responsible person about your whereabouts and check your motives. I believe that even though you might be facing challenges, you are not alone, God is with you. All you need is to be prayerful, hardworking, diligent, persevering and humble; you will definitely rise above the challenges.

I believe in you &

I know that your life counts

Gracias
